Screen Shot Analysis

I have chosen to analysis the close up for the TV series Hustle,

This shot is a close of the woman's facial expressions, she is smiling, probably to show that she has a solution to her problem. Seductive smile, she could be lying.

Her choice of makeup, neat and the colours look expensive. shows she is rich as well as good looking.

The way she is looking at the camera shows that she might be plotting something devious and not showing her true self.

Here are the notes placed in to a practise paragraph for the mock exams.

The use of the close up shot has been used to show the significance of her facial expressions toward the event that has been taken place; I feel that the director chose to do this scene in this particular way in order to collaborate the message behind her seductive smile. It has an impression of the audience because when they recall the previous event, it shows a helpless woman looking for her ring in a frantic manner, after the hysteria, she suddenly comes out with this seductive smile towards the camera as if to say, she has used herself as a way of saying I am not telling the truth, and by using her gender she is able to cause a fuss over the ring in order to get attention. Within society, people are considering that this type of stereotype of women is considered to be acceptable, even though it is not what women are really like.
